Kicks Ricockulous Ass
Do I really have to say more? Easily makes the top 10 greatest action films ever made list. Chow Yun Fat...or is that Fat Yun Chow? I always forget, anywho, more bullets than the Spanish American War, explosions, and just plain ridiculous awesome.

"Woo's Masterpiece?" Understatement!!
Personally my favorite John Woo HK film (my fav. US Woo film is Face/Off). I love how John brings out the human emotions in all his cast members, while choreographing the action scenes so perfectly. To learn that John would write the script day-by-day was a major surprise, given how expertly done it was. I myself am writing a Hong Kong action-style movie, using John's films as influence on the action. Now owning the Dragon Dynasty versions of The Killer and Hard Boiled, I think they should release other greats like the A Better Tomorrow trilogy, Once a Thief, and Bullet in the Head.

Not a review of the film, but of DD
Well I can't review this transfer yet because it hasn't yet been released. But if the other Dragon Dynasty releases are any indication this is going to be fantastic. Maybe this one doesn't need to be cleaned up as much as come of the early Kung-Fu films in the library, but it will certainly be on par with anything out there without being overpriced (I'm looking at you, Criterion). Now the masses can enjoy it without feeling dirty and used.
Weinstein is brilliant. I am now a lifelong fan with Dragon Dynasty. It must have been a calculated risk to explore this venture in the first place but it must be paying off because I see more and more releases in the pipeline of some pretty heavy hitting movies (such as 'The Killer', which must not have been cheap to obtain the rights too).
The biggest challenge may be getting the general public to realize that Dragon Dynasty is not another low-quality Asian company that disappoints. Rather, it is first rate and deserves the utmost support from consumers. I, for one, will spread the word to anyone who will listen.

Woo blends hard-boiled action and soft sentiment and makes it look effortless.
I though they said this was optinal. Oh well, 'The Killer is chock full of bloody shootouts, great stunts, a dash of kung fu and even some humor. It's also a tender love story and a Shakespearian tragety. It's done with such grace and artistry that even the gore looks tastefull.

What an action packed film!
You want action, great story? This is it. "The Killer" will blow your mind. This is actually my favorite John Woo film. Second being "Hard Boiled".

Best version I have because my old VHS copy looks pretty crappy.
One of my favorite movies of all-time. I saw the ending of The Killer when I was about nine and didn't see the entire film until I was 16. John Woo has some of the best story telling methods out there. But the funny thing about this movie is the romantic elements that drive the film. This genre should be called Action/Romance.

John Woo & Chow Yun Fats Finest Moment!
I have been waiting for years for "The Killer" to be re-released using modern enhancements and DD is the company to breath new life into the greatest action movie of all time.

John Woo's best movie
The action isn't quite as epic as that of "Hard Boiled", but don't despair, it's still amazing! And the story blows "Hard Boiled" out of the water. Absolute brilliance.

Probably Chow Yun Fats best movie!
This movie is a bonified classic of the gun-fu films. Classis action scenes that have been copied again and again but never as good as the original. John Woos masterpiece!

This Films over the top action sequences are beautiful in every way
Im so glad this film is finally coming to dragon dynasty dvd, its on par with hard boiled as the best action film ever made, the film's previous dvd releases have been pretty bad, the criterion edition and the winstar dvd are both considerably low quality, hopefully dragon dynasty will make it look superb and clean, like they did with hard boiled.
