The action-packed sequel to a Shaw Brothers classic, Return of the One-Armed Swordsman is loaded with “more villains, more weapons, more fighting, and more over-the-top action than its predecessor” (LoveHKFilm.com). Legendary star Jimmy Wang Yu (The One-Armed Swordsman) returns to take on an amazing array of unique enemies called the Eight Kings, each with his own signature weapon or fighting style. Director Chang Cheh (The 5 Deadly Venoms) is at his best, creating a masterpiece of “epic scale, deviant villainry and sheer inventiveness” (KungFuCinema.com).

This is a fun "mindless" actioner that amps up the sword fighting of the first film in a high quality presentation. .
I enjoyed the first one so was excited to pick this up. Those who thought the first OAS film didn't feature enough action will find more to like in this sequel because that is about all there is. The plot is simple and Wang Yu's acting is wooden but it is all just an excuse for fighting which is why we buy these things anyway. Not the best martial arts you will ever see but it is fun. BTW there are no special features but not every release needs (or deserves)any. Overall quality of the release is great, as has been the case with the DD releases I have gotten so far.

Great film--lousy english dub job
loved the movie itself--simple plot, great characters, lots of action BUT the english dub on this one is flat and lifeless. it was not the usual classic shaw voice dubbers.
