One of my favorite films!
Police Story, in my opinion, is one of the best Jackie Chan films I've seen in a long time since Drunken Master! And the Dragon Dynasty DVD made it a better see! Remastered picture, original Cantonese Mono, and the special features! This and KillZone made me look forward to buy all Dragon Dynasty labels!

Jackie Chan gold
A pretty good Chan effort, and presented in great quality. The fighting is fantastic, and the subtitles really capture the humor well. Unfortunately, I was hoping for a bit more special features. But I am still quite happy with this one.

Excellent film and package
Dragon Dynasty met my expectations ten-fold. I had the pleasure of watching a great film, handled properly. I cannot WAIT until your Woo releases, seeing as Hard Boiled and The Killer are masterpeices.

The best Jakie film!
Dragon Dynasty is now in my top 2 DVD labels after this amazing release of my favourite Jackie Chan film. Bey Logan commentaries are great too! Excellent release with great features, it was like seeing it again for the first time.

powerful with very three dimensional characters.
The story was well defined and the characters were well thought out.The cinematography was great. The fight choreography was excellent.

This movie is a classic!
Police Story is a classic action film. I've been a big fan of Jackie Chan for 11 years now and this certainly one of my favorite films from. Its also cool to see Brigette Lin & Maggie Cheung, who are both beautiful and have grown to become highly respected and versatile actresses over the years.

i have seen this film thousands of times and i have to say the dragon dynasty release is brilliant, uncut, original language and brillant picture quality plus features i have never seen before! (ive seen almost everything jackie!)

Definitive R1 release of Chan classic!
Police Story is one of JC's finest films, and one of the greatest action films ever made. This edition features great picture and sound, with original soundtrack, plus deleted scenes I have not seen anywhere else. And of course, it features the always informative and entertaining Bey Logan commentary (I could have done without Brett Ratner's commentary, as it is clear he knows little about HK cinema). Thank you Dragon Dynasty! Now I will pray for a similar release of Drunken Master 2!

Police Story is one of the greatest action films ever made, and the finale in the shopping mall is excellent stuff. Honestly, it is one of the very best Jackie Chan movies period!

Ok
I was expecting to be blown away, but I was not. I enjoyed the film, but I never really cared for the slapstick humor bits. The action & stunts are great.

A classic !
This film is a classic. It shows Jackie Chan at the top of his game, and is essential viewing for any fan of Jackie Chan, Hong Kong cinema or just plain action films.
The DVD quality is quite bad though as everybody looks pink and the film is full of grain and unclear images. Too bad really.
Also, I have no respect for Bret Rattner. What is he doing on a commentary on a classic film like this ? The Rush Hour films is so bad compared to Jackie's Hong Kong films with part 3 even being one of Jackie's worst films ever. Bey Logan rocks as usual.

I saw the second part first and I said I should get the first part to. A good call I thought. I thought the effort with the chandeller stunt was incredible.

Easily the best film Chan has ever put on the market. Great shootout, perfect fight scenes! Such a compelling story with the best Asian acting outside of a John Woo movie!

A great Jackie Chan film
I own this as the HKL release.This is based on the protector not nearly as good as this. With a great final fight scene nickname "Glass Story" by the stuntmen set in a shopping mall. I see it said that it came out in 1986 on this page but think it came out in 85 and I check wikipedia and it said it came out on 25th jan 1985 but when ever it was released doesn’t really matter but what doses matter is that if you want to see a good Jackie Chan cop film don’t watch the protector watch police story. O and I haven’t seen number 3 so I can’t wait for Dragon Dynasty to bring it out.
