Kill Zone is the best!
A one-of-a-kind film I've been waiting for! Sammo Hung as a kingpin, and Donnie Yen as a kickass cop! And the showdowns that finish the film, you can't go wrong when you buy this film! Great performances, excellent action scenes, and a good story!

Best HK action film in over a decade!
I truly mean that. No giggling teen idols or cuty-hotty pop stars here; just straight-up hardcore bare knuckle hand-to-hand ass kicking! Hong Kong was once known as the central of innovative filmmaking and SPL: Kill Zone has brought that title back home where it belongs!
- TheMachoKing, Los Angeles, CA | March 16, 2007
Top quality
Not only is the movie itself gorgeously amazing, but the DVD package is spot on. I think this particular product is the best DVD I have ever purchased, from a good number of standpoints. Definitely check this one out.

Absolutley Awesome!!!!!!
I randomly got this movie, as I was lucking for a new action flick to get into. I was shocked by how good it was. The plot is great, the visuals, and of course the action. Highly recomended. Absolutely loved it!

Absolutely awesome
I'm a big Donny Yen fan and am often disappointed his skills usually are not as highly showcased as certain other stars, but this film gives him plenty of screen time and shows his fighting choreography is beyond "best of the best." That alone would have given me reason to buy this film. But as if that wasn't enough, we ALSO get Sammo Hung and Simon Yam, along with a superb, dramatic script. This film became one of my all time, hands-down favorites before I even finished watching it. The extra special features disc makes a fantastic movie even more fantastic. This is one of the greatest DVD buys to come along in years.

One of the best Hong Kong Thriller/Action movies....
Being a huge Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung fan this film was an easy purchase. Besides the exceptional cast the movie is great and I was plesantly surprised by the acting. Also we have 3 generations of screen fightes going to toe to toe with Donnie Yen right in the middle...words can't do the fighting justice. A great release that the set the standard for all the future Dragon Dynasty releases.

On my personal favorite list of martial art movies this is next to Enter The Dragon.
It's not everyday that u see a movie with a all-star cast and a plot that does not suck. This movie goes from point A to B in one smooth flow, other than the fact that it started off with the car crash that got cleared up during the movie though and the fights were excellent.

This film lived beyond my expectations!
It's interesting that an earlier review referred to this movie as " Al Capone and Eliot Ness of Hong Kong" because it very much reminded me of "The Untouchables" from 1987 by Brian DePalma. Of course any martial arts film fan would be intrigued by the mere suggestion of a full-contact, no-holds barred battle between Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung. But to actually see it? That's another matter altogether! My main concern was the story itself. Granted, the story when boiled down to the bare essentials, has been done many times before. The key here is the emotion that is used to draw in the viewer, especially with the backgrounds of Sammo, Donnie and Simon Yam's characters in particular. Some plot points you can truthfully predict, but even when they happen, you're still caught off guard. That's why the ending is such a great ending, because it takes you completely by surprise and twists your guts around, as a good movie ending should. As for the perfomances, they are superb. Simon Yam, has always played dark, twisted characters masterfully (see "Bullet in the Head" and "Full Contact" for two good examples) and here he manages to bring dark complexity to what would almost be a stock lead character. It was a delightful twist to see Sammo as lead villian and he plays it with menace and pathos, showing that he could be something beyond the cuddly, martial arts powerhouse of the days with Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao. I've liked Donnie Yen since "Iron Monkey" and have even followed him in rather lackluster films, like "Highlander:Endgame", just because he can bring some snap to the fights. The fights in themselves are well choreographed, and quite vicious. One minor criticism would be the length of certain key fights, merely because the build-up the film creates makes you want more satisfaction once the fights start happening. But what the fights may have lacked in length is made up for in intensity. But that's just quibbling. Overall, this film is a testament that the so-called "old hands" in this business still have it. In fact, they never lost it. We, the fans are all the better for it.

Couldn't have picked a better movie to kick off Dragon Dynasty
I've been a fan of Donnie Yen for a few years and it is great for me to see him in a starring role where not only are his exceptional skills as a martial art actor and director showcased but also his acting skills. Sammo Hung, Simon Yam, and Jing Wu all deliver top notch performances as well, it was great to see Sammo go against type and play a villian, and play him well.

Very good action thriller.
Kill Zone is a very refreshing film. There's not too many martial arts action thrillers with as much intensity as Kill Zone. The story is well-written and the all star cast did a superb job. I never thought I would see Sammo Hung vs. Donnie Yen in a fight scene...those guys are true brawlers. Simon Yam was awesome I wasn't familiar with Jacky Wu but I thought his performance was just brilliant as a actor and as martial artists. I look forward to seeing him in more upcoming films.

The sickest action movie in a long time.
Amazing martial arts, great story and a superb cast. I love this movie. I am a huge fan of all the stars, but to see Donnie Yen get to show what he is capable of in his own big movie was too awesome. The final fight is so awesome!

Donnie Yen and Sammo are still kickin butt!
Wow another great film from Dragon Dynasty. I was glad to see them pick this one up for distribution. Donnie yen and Sammo are awesome together in this film. The fight scenes are top notch and the story uncompromised. It's about time Donnie yen gets top bill in a big production. The rest of the cast is great as well, including Simon Yam and new commer Jackie Wu. The fight between Yen and Wu was reminescent of the fight between Yen and Jet Li in Hero. I realy enjoyed this one, and so will you.
- Mike Mosher, Sacramento California | June 23, 2007

TOTALLY PERFECT
Action heros Sammo Hung and Donnie Yen give their best in this film. The script is good, the fights are good, the fight choreography are good too. It is the first action movie were two of the great martial artists are together. Don`t miss this motion picture¡
- Mauro Alegre, Argentina | February 07, 2008
amazing beyond description
when i first saw this movie despite the great cast of donnie yen, sammo hung, simon yam, and wu jing i was just expecting another police VS triad movie.
not since i first saw infernal affairs a few years ago have i been so supprised by a movie.
everyone is at the top of their game giving the perfomance of their lives especially sammo who i never thought would be convincing as a gangster,
wu jing who id previously only seen playing happy go lucky characters is superb as a malicious and vindictive killer for hire and donnie and simon are amazing as the two police trying to bring them down.
the action is also superb with donnie having amazing fight scenes against both sammo and wu jing.
this was definatley worth importing back to scotland and is a movie that any fan of hong kong cinema should see.
- andrew dyer, scotland, united kingdom | March 07, 2008

Pretty good.
This was officially my first Dragon Dynasty dvd.I only rate this a 4.5 because of the one thing I did not like was the idea of Donnie Yen having to die.
