I have been wanting to see this movie forever!
I have been on the lookout for this movie for years! I am soooo looking forward to seeing this movie. I have heard about this movie for 20 or more years and never seen it. Now is my chance. Thank you D.D.!

Kill Zone
This is one of the best martial arts films that I have seen in a long time. The story line, acting and the fight scenes were outstanding. I hope you produce more action films of this nature.

Amazing Transfer - Box art LIES!
The film is great. the extras are great. My MAJOR problem with this disc is that it claims to have a commentary on the disc by Quentin Tarantino... which it does not. It has a commentary by Scholars David Chute and Andy Klein. There is no commentary by QT. That commentary was crucial to my purchase, not because I am a QT fanboy, but because I would value his opinions on this work. I am contemplating returning this purchase, simply because I already own this film.
Aside from the lies on the packaging, it's a great disc. picture and sound is outstanding.

I already owned an import copy of this amazing film. I purchased another copy because the box says it has commentary by QT and I was really looking forward to hearing his insight on the movie. There is NO commentary by QT, and only has commentary by two other people I could care less about. The Weinstein company is now resorting to lying to sell their products. I am so tired of getting screwed by them. They truly care more about making a buck then they do art.

Very well done
This movie is certainly a classic. Wang Yu delivers a totally sweet performance throughout this whole film. What's more, there is actually character development and so forth. I found it to be very well done and very entertaining. Certainly worth buying.

The Classic Gung Fu film
I've been watching Chinese Gung fu films from before they were popular in the western market. Anyone who follows these types of film "knows" this one. Althought the fight and swordpaly scenes are a bit more raw (realistic)than what you're used to, it's still very good. Remember, this was one of the first of it's kind. Story line is better than most newer action films. Superb transfer to digital-very clean, vibrant color and noise free (better than when I first saw this on the screen). Keep up the good work.

Amazing restoration
After decades of watching these films as desaturated and dirty prints with nigh unreadable, poorly translated subtitles, it was great to see this film in all it's glory. The colors were bold and vibrant. It was almost like watching Kurosawa's 'Ran'!
Keep up the great work with restoring the rest of the library.

Unbelievable
Buttom line this was a great movie and had good action. Who cares if it does not have comentary by Quentine Tarantino. This is the best quality of this film you will find. Excellant picture and sound quality this film is a classic and a collectors item. I am proud to own this film. So I say when you get this masterpiece hold your head up high and proud. Now you will then experience what I have and wont believe this unbelievable film. Thank you Dragon Dynasty.

Classic Shaw brothers release. Pre-Bruce Lee era.
In one interview the late Bruce Lee said that Chinese martial arts movies in general were lacking martial competence.
I think that what he meant was that the movies (and this one is a classic example) had good plots, amazing sets and decent cinematography. As far as the martial arts were concerned, there was room for improvement and that was what Lee set himself up to improve.
So, to cut a long story short while not turnning this review into a Bruce Lee review, I would like to say that if you are into martial arts then you might get disappointed here. Although Jimmy Yu claims to be a martial arts practitioner in the interview, he is a pretty stiff mover, the fight choreography is a joke and the fight scenes are not enjoyable.
If you would like to take a walk down history lane, if you enjoy oriental story telling, beautiful sets and decent acting, then get this one by all means. It is a true classic.
The rating would have been; 5 stars for the movie (as a movie) and 1 star or no stars at all for the martial artistry.

A Masterpiece!
This is my favorite Shaw Brother's movie of all time! Jimmy Wang Yu is brilliant in this film! His portrayal Fang Gang is amazing! You can't take your eyes off of him! Do yourself a favor, get this movie!
Thank you Dragon Dynasty for re-issuing this classic!

This is the worst 'kung fu' movie I've EVER seen.. I can't see why Dragon Dynasty has made a release of this shit...
